Two weeks old today! The puppies eyes are opening, some bright eyes and others just barely. We'll see those baby blues this week and start to hear the singing when their ears open too. These poor puppies have doubled their birth weight but think for sure they are starving to death (rule of thumb, first milestone is they double their birth weight in the first seven to ten days). Also, were not impressed with photo day as this did not come with a food option! Look at these round little bellies, doing absolutely wonderful. Three weeks old today! Look at these little chunkers! Their eyes and ears are wide open and the singing has begun! They can toddle about pretty good now adays and get to momma fast! We couldn't make eye contact all the time or I had a pup in my lap, They are pretty smart and caught on fast!  Congratulations to this pretty momma! She welcomed seven beautiful puppies into this world on Monday, June 19. We have three girls and four boys. It was a memorable birth for sure, no power, whelping by candlelight or flashlight and no need to make sure the room was warm enough. Making memories! Momma and puppies are doing wonderful!  Toller hogging up all the air! No eletricity since the storms went though on Satuday night, so generator power with limited air and fan. This is where you can find this girl most of the time. It didn't take her long to find the air and let it blow through her hair. Just too smart! One week old today! Everyone is doing great! We have had an eventful week, we survived a 100mph wind storm. A lot of damage, tree debris and downed deck but we are all safe and sound and they never knew anything happened. They are all doing as they should, eating, sleeping and cuddling with momma. They have all doubled their weight and doing just great!  |
