Five weeks old! We introduced the water bowl and puppy food this week. I think the water bowl was a bigger hit. Pretty smart pups, they have already figured out more puppy food means less mom and they aren't ready to give up the milk just yet. We had so much fun outdoors exploring the grass... a few were curious about the new surroundings, a few didn't want to leave my side and then a few just relaxed and enjoyed the fresh air. It was a good time and the first of many more.

Four weeks old today! This is always a sad time, they are growing up, half their time is over with us. It has gone by so fast and the next four will be over before we know it. We were able to go out and enjoy some fresh air. Some were ready to explore and others weren't too sure about this big open space. When we came in they moved from the pool to the puppy pen. Again, not sure about all this extra room, but they will enjoy it. They are all getting so big and fluffy. Their teeth are coming in good, so this would explain some of the loud cries. Those puppy teeth hurt! Three weeks old today! The puppies are growing and doing so good. They are getting around really good. Play is starting and even starting to nibble on one another a bit. I see fun times ahead. Believe it or not, there are nine puppies in there somewhere... its a feeding frenzy! Their ears have opened and the noise level has gone up the last few days. They love to hear themselves talk. Momma Callie knows when she is needed, sometimes I wonder but she seems to have everything under control. Mom and pups look great!  Two weeks old today! These puppies are doing great... growing, eating and sleeping. Starting to toddle around a bit and can get to mom quickly if needed. Eyes are open and their ears will be opening in the next few days. They have all doubled their birth weight and entered into the one pound club! Their eyes should be open in the next day or so, I'm seeing a few slits of blue in there.  One week old today! The pups are growing and doing great! Our days pretty much consist of eating and sleeping but they are really good at it! |
